>    Next call of the cruise is the port of Aegina, an island often overlooked by mainstream tourism it is uniquely unspoiled and a truly a hidden gem. The rich history of Aegina from prehistoric up to modern times can be traced throughout the island. Your captain will dock the boat at the port.
>    The temple of Aphaia stands on a pine-clad hill in northeast Aegina, overlooking the village of Aghia Marina this Doric temple dates from c.500 B.C. and is one of the best preserved in the country. Note: the visit to Aphaia is unguided.
After the visit to Aphaia, and you will be transferred to the pistachio farm; a product for which Aegina is justly famous.
>    Welcome the farm! Your hosts will welcome you to the large working farm and explain the importance the farming had and still has in the daily life and the economy of the island. An amazing authentic experience as you immerse yourself in the daily life of the islanders.
Your hosts will serve a traditional meal and join you for lunch. Enjoy the hospitality of the hosts eating local dishes on the front porch discussing the modern-day way of life.
>    After the farm visit, transfer back to the port and enjoy free time there. It is one of the most pristine examples of a well-preserved town, a beautiful waterfront with small cafes, shops and narrow alleys. With its gorgeous neoclassical buildings and the buzzing promenade of people, motorbikes, cafes and restaurants Aegina is a highlight in itself.
Take your time to explore the port and maybe have a cup of cappuccino at one of the cafes.
>    Meet up with your captain and set off from the port of Aegina, the cruise continues with the circumnavigation of the island. Passing by the reef of Metopi and the island of Moni and as the sun sets you will return to the marina of Athens.
